this a time to despair or to consider our accomplishments?
Thousands of New Way members, tens of thousands of Americans
across the US, took the time to flood Congress with tens of
thousands of phone calls. When Representatives Dennis
Kucinich and Barbara Lee first took the leadership in opposition
to the bill, only a handful of representatives stood with them.
In a compressed time frame, their cause, our cause, won support
from 133 Representatives and 23 Senators. This reflects the
strength of the peace movement in our country.
